Great seat. Has wall behind so you can leave your seat reclined for service and the seat does recline the full way. Leg room was great. Much more than economy and to your right you have a massive open space (due to door), which makes you feel like your in a very open area. The overhead bins are very high in this section also giving a massive open feeling. The entertain system is very basic (compare to virgin Atlantic), but still alot to watch. Could find a power point for charging, but had USB charging. Headphones provided are noise cancelling and they are the 3 prongs type. Also provide a blanket, hard pillow, and welcome bag (pen, ear plugs, eye mask). Close to the proximity of the Premium Economy bathrooms. Traffic around you in very low, due to it being a different section to economy, and due to massive space to right, was never bumped during flight. Seats aren't as comfortable as the premium seats, but I general get Eco X for free, due to being a silver member, so hard to complain, when i paid for a worse service. I think rows 20/21 looked better but row 25 is the 2nd best option for this class

I booked these seats hoping the stewardess seat behind didn't interfere with my recline, And i can confirm that I had full recline on all 3 seats and on the way back had the opposite side of the plane with seats 24 a,b,c and again no issues i will book these seats every time i fly on the 777-300ER to LA.

It was definitely worth paying a bit extra for this seat. I'm 5'10 and could fully stretch out my legs and had the seat fully reclined for majority of the 14hour flight as there's no seat behind (so didn't have to feel guilty!). Priority boarding and meals are a bonus. Only small downsides are the limited cabin baggage space and having to walk right through an entire section of economy to get to the toilet.

Good seat - the extra legroom of Economy X is awesome. Enough room to actually get the laptop out and do some work (or watch Netflix!) on the plane.

Had this seat on flight LAX-BNE and 3A on the return SYD-LAX (VA 1). Identical seats but on opposite side of the aircraft. The seats offer full recline and are quite comfortable for sleeping but the FA's will make up a bed for you upon request. How's that for service! Speaking of which, it was excellent on both flights as was the menu. More than ample storage space in these business class suites and they all come with an instruction card for their operation. AVE was very good with a selection of over 30 movies that changed about half way through the flight. Overall a very good experience and looking forward to the next trip on VA in a few months.

The arm rests do not go up or down and therefore if you have the whole row to yourself, you cannot spread out. VA staff told us that this is standard for all VA 777-300ER planes.

This seat is in Economy X & is the last row in front of the exit row & reclines into the area where the FA sits during take off & landing. No need to put your seat upright during meal service as there is no one behind you. Extra leg room. Smaller overhead locker for this row as emergency equipment is stored there. Loved the special treatment that Economy X gives you! Priority boarding, meals first to be served, first choice of meal options.

50A-B-C and 50I-J-K have fixed armrests, which was quite a surprise when I thought I was going to have 3 open seats to lay down on a 14 hour flight!

4A - wonderful as a sole traveler, faces outside of plane, service was very, very good. I did miss getting an amenities pack and had to ask, minor matter. Food - perfect, drinks, as required, bed, as good as they can be, all round, highly recommend 4A and Virgin Melb - LAX.

The back row seats in premium economy are excellent. There is actually enough room to fully recline your chair. So since there is nobody behind you, you can do this guilt free for pretty much the entire flight.

Normally this would be one of the best seats in Business. My recent experience was that it was too close to the galley. The chatting and the laughter of the crew in the galley made it very difficult to sleep. It isn't reasonable to expect flight staff to be silent. My solution will be to avoid this particular seat in future.

Great legroom, great sightlines for those with claustrophobia. Yes, you can get your feet stomped on or hit by a trolley. Leaving your IFE unit out even if not on helps keep the trolleys from hitting you.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/10/16 for Seat 26G

26G is an excellent seat. Despite being baulkhead, the legroom is excellent. There are no fitting points for baby holders. Also, most seats in this row have immovable arm rests, however the left arm rest for 26G IS a standard movable arm rest.

This was my first overseas flight on VA. I've flown Melbourne-LAX return annually for 24 years and wanted to try VA Premium Economy after seeing a good price on Webjet. Advise is to never take the bulkhead seat. The screens are terrible because they force you to look to the side to view them. The pillows are useless, the headrest doesn't stay in place and there is less legroom. The cabin itself is a nice size and even the bathrooms and galley are right there, they keep the curtains closed to prevent light pollution. The night flight was very, very quiet. Staff was nice on both flights. On the outbound flight they offered foot rests to those of us at the bulkhead but not on the way back. During the outbound leg I was able to move to seat 17D and it was much better. Plenty of leg room, screen on the back of the seat in front of me was nicer plus the remote control was in the back of the seat as well.

Horrible seat! You pay extra for it, and then the staff and other customers proceed to run into you since there is no room between you the bathroom and the gangway.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/07/14 for Seat 15H

Premium Economy certainly got better food an service, but the first row (Row 15) is not preferred if you're tall (over 180cm). The wall in front of you means that you actually have less leg room than rows 16 and 17 and it's actually quite uncomfortable. The gentleman across the aisle at 15G exhibit similar problems.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/07/11 for Seat 26C

Exit row seat is very mixed bag. Clearly good leg room. But the cabin kinks at this point so the trolley coming up and down may hit you same applies to the H seat. But the biggest issue is the lack of storage. Unlike the A and K seats you have no seat pocket so you have no storage for any books, ipads, water etc. A and K are better options as they do not restrict as the comments would suggest but have seat pockets and shoulder room.

Very private seat. Really good staff. Huge screen with a decent choice of media. Really comfortable seat. Definitely an upgrade over the previous Business Class setup. I'm not short and there was still plenty of leg room when lying down. Food was excellent, although I couldn't eat it all as I'd sampled many of the delights in the Emirates lounge before hand :-) Plenty of nooks and crannys. Get stuck into the Kir Champagne cocktails.. delish ! A really good experience overall, well worth the 45,000 points to upgrade from PE !

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/06/05 for Seat 16H

The new PE seats are only a little different from the old ones, but I would say they are better, and you definitely can tell the extra pitch. The only downside to the new seats is the loss of the mini drink table on the armrest, but it isn't a big issue. Staff excellent and the new snack bar arrangement is fine. Food very acceptable as are the drinking options. Have the Kir cocktail. yum :-)

Row 25 on both sides of the aircraft are configured as a 2-seat combination. I find this ideal if you are traveling as a couple. There is no 3rd person, and you get the benefit of an effective additional tray table from the one behind Row 24C & 24G. The close proximity to the toilets was more of an advantage rather than being any sort of a problem.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/02/16 for Seat 15K There is a bulkhead in front of row 15 which restricts legroom fairly significantly. Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/01/29 for Seat 24K

Excellent seat! I was concerned if I would be able to recline with the crew seat right behind us but there was plenty of room! There is no wi-fi, or power outlets =( however they provided a large variety of TV shows and movies to watch for free. They also provide pretty sweet headphones to listen with. However they have 3 prongs, so you won't really get much use of them outside the plane. Also provide a small blanket, pillow, and eye mask. Close to the proximity of the Premium Economy bathrooms (even if they close the curtain). Highly recommend seats in rows 22-24. Row 21 is high traffic due to the bathrooms. If you're on the aisle seats hard to extend legs even with the extra room. And TV's pop up from side of chair. Not as convenient unless needing a bassinet for children.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/01/27 for Seat 26C

26C has great legroom however the slight kink in the aisle means if you stretch out your legs people will walk into you and the service carts will hit your feet while you are sleeping as they have to turn around the wall.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2017/01/03 for Seat 4K

The new configuration is quite good, direct access to isle is excellent. I flew Sept 2016 & again Oct 2016. I found sleeping a little easier if the armrest is left down. When Flight Attendant makes up bed this includes raising the armrest which makes moving around very uncomfortable & getting out more like an obstacle course. There is limited space around capsule but then I am height challenged so was able to use footrest to store items. Love the multi position seat, which allows changing position much easier, certainly able to get one's feet/legs up watching TV, using iPad which is good. Virgin service is excellent, meals are tasty & water is in plentiful supply. It is pleasurable flying Business Class but the chill factor & dry air is still something that needs attention.

There is no longer a toilet in front of seat 2K. The toilet at the front of the plane appears to be female only?

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/12/09

Travelled in Sept 2016 in new PE. Excellent seating and service. Would consider rating the experience as Business "Lite". Seats were comfortable and as I am 6'5" had more than sufficient leg room. My wife and other child had seats 17J&K and they reclined the same as the other seats. Proximity to snack section isn't a major issue. Having only 24 seats did lead to a more intimate feeling of having your own private cabin. VA Staff were excellent as usual. Highly recommended

Premium (economy) is certainly a step up from economy and the service and quality of food was exceptional. Found that this particular seat is freezing cold as it is right next to the chiller. My partner and I had the same seats going over to LA from Brisbane and had the same issue. Prox to Lav is not an issue and it seems very private but if you have this seat be prepared for the cold and wear warm clothing. A duvet is possibly required.

Submitted by SeatGuru User on 2016/10/26 for Seat 4K

Travelled to/from Syd to LAX in September 2016. Seat is comfortable but not wide & length is OK for me but if one was average height then possibly cramped. Do like the herringbone positioning of seats which face inward making it private.

New business product outstanding. Usual down to earth but professional service. New seat has great comfort, with duvet and mattress. Slept easily, moreso than QF business. Huge screen, reasonable choice of movies and TV.
