Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

B.S. in accounting

Accountants have opportunities in many careers, most frequently in public accounting, private industry, management consulting or governmental accounting.

K-State offers a concurrent Bachelor of Science in business administration and Master of Accountancy degree that can be completed in four and a half years.

Our concurrent bachelor's and master's program allows students to take highly relevant and interesting classes in their selection of several tracks.

Students who complete this program are well prepared for either their CMA or CPA exam, depending on their career goals. Students have opportunities to concentrate in:

All tracks emphasize data analytics skills and the development of a global mindset.

Outstanding graduates with strong interpersonal skills are highly sought after and earn high starting salaries, often taking jobs with both large and small corporations or international and smaller CPA firms.

The K-State difference

As part of the College of Business Administration, accounting students have the exclusive opportunity to participate in Career Development, the college’s professional development program. It’s three components – Career Accelerator, Career Coach and Executive Mentor – provide unmatched training and support.

The undergraduate and graduate accounting programs received separate accreditation for accounting by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, or AACSB, in April1988. Few schools receive this recognition.

Did you know?

K-State's accounting department was one of only 10 programs in the nation to receive a prestigious grant from the Accounting Education Change Commission, or AECC. This nearly $250,000 grant was used to support a comprehensive revision in our curriculum, making K-State a model for accounting education throughout the U.S.
